| There was a total Lunar eclipse,
visible from across the UK, on 2007 March 03. The picture below shows the
Moon during totality. |

Solar Eclipse 31 May 2003

| As the Sun rose on the 31st May
2003 it was partially eclipsed by the Moon. |

Cloud and mist obscured the distant horizon, but as the Sun
rose above this layer, it appeared as a beautiful crimson crescent.
Location Great Hameldon, east of Accrington, Lancashire.
Pentax K1000 with f6.3 400mm lens plus x3 teleconvertor.
1/125sec on 200 ASA film. |

As the Sun rose higher in the sky it lost the crimson hue.
